I really want to travel the world with my family.
Here's an idea (compliments of Design Mom)
Have the kids research places they want to go (could be used for big vacations, day trips or small weekend getaways).
Create a simple worksheet with entries that say: City, Country, Three things to see, Food to try, Image.
We can create a file and take turns visiting everyone's favorite spots!

Living Abroad
I've never done it. But, I want to. I'm not too chicken to do it by myself, and should the right opportunity present itself I just might. But, I also recognize that my ultimate goal right now is to get married and start a family. Thus, I am placing myself in places where my odds are in my favor, though truthfully, Brittany found her forever love in Copenhagen so it could happen anywhere!!
That being said, I want to live lots of places, experience lots of different things.
To name a few:
Italy
France
Greece
A village in Africa
South America
I feel like I want to get to know people of the world. I want to know their stories. I want to know how they live. I want to work with them and serve them and learn from them. I'm not sure how to put this plan in action.
Maybe teaching in other countries will be a good opportunity. Maybe living abroad with my husband. Having kids in another country?? I don't know, but I do know I'd love for my kids to be exposed to all different areas of the world could bring a lot of good things.
The only thing: I would need to have the means to come home and visit my family. I want my children to know my parents. I have been blessed by knowing my grandparents and I want that for my children, more than anything.
Maybe 1 year stints with a home base close to Ohio. DC or NY or southern warmth like South Carolina.
